Driving Smiles at Tons O' Trucks - lacey W
At Macomb Township Parks and Recreation, our mission is to create meaningful experiences that bring people together. Thanks to Fox Subaru's support as a Title Partner of our annual Tons O' Trucks event, we are able to continue providing free, high-quality programs that strengthen our community. Each year, Tons O' Trucks welcomes thousands of children and their families for a hands-on opportunity to explore construction equipment, emergency vehicles, public service trucks, and other larger-than-life vehicles. The event sparks curiosity, inspires future dreams, and gives children the chance to meet the professionals who serve our community every day. Fox Subaru's partnership helped make this exciting experience accessible to families of all backgrounds. Their support allowed us to enhance the event while ensuring it remained a fun, safe, and welcoming day for everyone who attended. Throughout the day, the impact of the Subaru Love Promise was evident in the smiles of children climbing into trucks for the first time, parents making memories with their kids, and neighbors enjoying time together. Those moments reflected the power of investing in local communities and creating opportunities for connection. We are incredibly grateful for Fox Subaru's commitment to Macomb Township and for helping make Tons O' Trucks a memorable experience for thousands of families. There's something incredibly special about delivering comfort in unexpected moments—and this year's Subaru Loves to Care blanket deliveries did exactly that. Thanks to the generosity of Fox Subaru Macomb and the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, patients receiving treatment at Henry Ford Hospital Macomb and Henry Ford Webber Cancer Center in Warren received cozy blankets and thoughtful support to brighten their day and remind them they are not alone. At Henry Ford Webber Cancer Center, Kim Mercier graciously welcomed the delivery and helped ensure these meaningful items reached patients receiving care. At Henry Ford Hospital Macomb, Monica Buckner accepted the donation and partnered with us to help bring a little extra comfort into the treatment experience. This effort would not have been possible without the incredible partnership and coordination from the Fox Subaru Macomb team. A special thank you to James Cagle, Samantha Sutton, and Matt Belz, whose dedication and collaboration helped bring this experience to life and make a tangible impact for local patients and families. We are also deeply grateful to our Blood Cancer United team members, Kate Lynch and Lauren Fryzel, whose support and coordination helped make these deliveries seamless and meaningful. Together, these partnerships represent so much more than blankets—they represent compassion, community, and the reminder that no one facing blood cancer has to do it alone. We are grateful to everyone who helped turn a simple act of giving into moments of comfort and care for patients across our community.
A ReJOYceful Event! - Kristen M
One of my favorite hobbies is to spend time with dogs. Whether it is with my own dog or volunteering with a local shelter, I enjoy the companionship and love of a dog. I don't remember a day in my life that I didn't have a dog! Recently, I had a great opportunity to support my local dog rescue and my favorite Subaru dealership, Fox Subaru of Macomb. For the last four years, I have been a volunteer and ambassador for A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue in macomb, Michigan. This has been a great way for me to support my community and connect dogs to their perfect "furever" families. More than half of the dogs we take in as a rescue are from Detroit. With the winter months being a difficult time for animals left outdoors, we support networking groups that go to Detroit homes to educate and provide supplies for them so that their pets make it through the winter. The rescue life is not for the faint of heart and some days, it can be plain awful. In our attempt to spread awareness and education of pet ownership, it's great to work with local businesses that support the mission of local animal shelters and rescues. In October, 2025, Fox Subaru opened their doors to an amazing adoption event that supported ARAR and other organizations here in Macomb County that shared the love of dogs. I was so excited to volunteer at the booth & meet SO many great staff & customers. Samantha Sutton, a Fox Subaru employee, helped organize the event and was astounding to work with. She told me about her love and devotion to her three dogs, and I could see her passion and appreciation for Subaru promoting this type of collaboration. I was grateful for the opportunity to meet her! I am the proud owner of a 2019 Subaru Outback and quickly realized after purchasing that there are Subaru fans all over Michigan. As a first time Subaru owner, I had no idea that owning a car could bring so many people together. Exciting! I have had a very positive experience and have connected several friends and family members to purchase their own Subaru. How cool is that? My Outback, affectionately known as Josie, is such a blessing in my life. As a teacher consultant for the deaf and hard of hearing, I travel to Detroit to support students with hearing loss at several schools. My Outback has allowed me to save some of the dogs I've found wandering Detroit and get them to a safe haven at our rescue. I often transport dogs to appointments, meet & greets with potential fosters, and on some occasions, en emergency vet visit in the middle of the night or on a weekend. My Outback has never let me down in these times. Again, I am grateful for my Subaru dealership to support the love we all share for our furry friends!

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, this is the reality. Fox Subaru Macomb partnered with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. On 2026-02-05, Fox Subaru Macomb donated 132 Coats to Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST). These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, but also have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being. At Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST), we are so grateful for this gift that will help so many in our community.

In October, we were thrilled to participate in Fox Subaru’s annual Subaru Loves Pets adoption event! The event created a welcoming space where local rescues and businesses could come together, connecting families with adoptable pets while supporting important community causes. We loved being part of the day, watching pets find their forever homes and sharing information about the Macomb Township Dog Park with the community. A big thank you to Fox Subaru!
Celebrating Fox Subaru Macomb and the Power of Pets - Deb S
October is Subaru Loves Pets Month, and Michigan Humane was proud to celebrate the incredible bond between people and pets — and our valued partner, Fox Subaru Macomb — at the 36th Annual Purrfect Bow Wow Brunch, held Sunday, October 12, at Detroit’s historic Eastern Market. As our presenting sponsor, Fox Subaru Macomb’s General Manager, James Cagle, kicked off the event by welcoming 650 guests and sharing his gratitude for their support of Michigan Humane’s mission to create healthy communities, safe neighborhoods, and a thriving workforce. In the past year alone, Michigan Humane rescued and placed over 6,000 injured, neglected, and homeless animals, supported 30,000 owned pets through more than 10 million bowls of pet food and access to low-cost veterinary care, and engaged 2,400 students in exploring veterinary careers. Fox Subaru Macomb’s partnership was instrumental in making this year’s Brunch our most successful fundraising event in Michigan Humane history, raising $1.25 million to advance our lifesaving work in the year ahead. Their leadership and commitment to our mission inspired confidence and generosity from sponsors, guests, and the entire Michigan Humane community. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Fox Subaru Macomb have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/10/2025, Fox Subaru Macomb donated 204 shoes/socks to Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST). These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Fox Subaru Macomb recognizes the special relationship between people and their pets and joined forces with Michigan Humane to celebrate that bond and help raise critical funding to support animals still on their journey to a loving family. James, Leslie, Sam, Matt and the Fox Cares fundraising team attended Michigan Humane’s annual Mutt March at the Ford House on May 17, engaging with supporters and pets with games and prizes, high-fives and goodwill. Together we celebrated Fox Subaru Macomb and Subaru’s Share the Love campaign success with a check presentation.
